Thene Sheehy
A passionate lifelong learner and veteran of the information technology world, Thene Sheehy created The Mouse Pad to support families, business executives and students in their own quests for education, fun, personal growth, and successful careers.
Thene realized that families, individual employees and learning organizations of all kinds often need technology resources they don't have on-hand, and need help simply keeping pace with changing technologies and the demands of the workplace, classrooms and households. Often, too, they just need a place to meet with other individuals who love to learn, work, train, or play, using the latest technologies.
It's no surprise to those who know her, that after twenty years as an information technology professional, Thene immersed herself once again in learning, and in 2004 completed her Master's in Management of Technology within the Vanderbilt University School of Engineering.
This is when her knowledge, experience and dreams converged to create The Mouse Pad.
In supporting Mouse Pad members, Thene contributes not only her energy, but also two decades of experience in such leadership roles as director of software development and data management for Sprint PCS, where for the last six of fourteen years, she supervised the efforts of over 100 technology professionals. Her responsibilities have also included data analysis and management, skills she had honed even earlier, with such employers as Farmland Industries, TWA, and Sprint. She received a B.S. in Computer Science via the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Thene and husband Roger live in Nashville.

Roger Sheehy
Co-Owner and Center Director
Roger spent six years in the U.S. Navy as an engineer during Desert Storm. After the Navy, Roger built on skills learned in high school in the family business working as a construction project manager and estimator. For five years, Roger also was a financial representative coaching people in ways to achieve financial independence through mutual funds, insurance, annuities, and debt reduction. Roger then shifted his career focus and began culinary school.
After the move to Nashville, he worked in various professional kitchens. In 2004, he created The Simple Chef, a company providing in-home cooking demonstration parties. He now works full-time running The Mouse Pad.
Staff
