Feedback from attendees :
- “The Lite Byte Workshop on Outlook last Saturday far exceeded my expectations. It is always my hope that, for my time and money, there will be one new thing to take home and use from a class. There were at least three practical, simple things I learned in the workshop, that will help me everyday going forward and several AH HA moments that I didn't expect.
You are providing a much needed service, in a short and doable time frame and cost, for people like me, with little free time to spare. I will be back and will tell everyone I know about my great experience!!
Again, Thank You so much!!!”
- T. Jones, president Mark IV Enterprises, Inc.
- Simple Basics Workshops
-
Are you a beginner? So much a beginner you are afraid to even join the beginner class of Word, Excel, Powerpoint, or Outlook? Can’t find the file you created yesterday? Don’t know what a worm is and how you keep getting them on your machine? Not sure what the D: drive even means, much less what it is? These are the workshops for you!
Four workshops cover The Internet; Files, Folders, and Drives; PC Basics; and PC Safety. Join us Monday mornings where there are NO STUPID QUESTIONS. This is a total learning environment. If you don’t ask, you won’t know.
Check our calendar for specific dates.
10:00 – 11:30 a.m. Fridays.
Upon special request, these workshops can be given as a private tutoring session.

- HTML, Web and Ebay Workshops
-
Check out our newest set of classes for the masses. We had a lot of requests for website development, so we've created two classes.
HTML Basics will begin with simple tags, and in just a few hours, you'll be comfortable with fonts, lists, tables, and pictures.
Website Design Fundamentals is created for those of you who need to build a site for your personal or business use, but just aren't sure where to begin thinking. What are your options? What things drive up the cost? What makes a good site design? What can you do yourself, and what can you hire someone to take care of? How much time can it take to develop and maintain your site? Can you control and change the content as often as you like? Join us for a few hours and you'll know what you need to know to take the next step.
Mambo Website Builder - this class is great for those of you who want to build a website quickly, use some cool tools in your site, and maintain the content yourself. Mambo makes communicating and publishing via the web easy. Want to design and publish your own site, with the ease of just point and click? Mambo is the ticket. No HTML, XML, or other …XL skills required! Just enter your content, add a picture, choose a tool (guest book, photo album, survey tool), and go. Choose from a variety of templates for the background look and feel – no need to be a graphic designer! Learn from a pro as Matt Kenigson of Sheer Genius teaches the class.
The last of the new classes is eBay Buying & Selling. In just a few hours, you'll have your own account and understand all of the setup steps to buy or sell. We'll talk about how to search for items, how the bidding works, and how to pay safely & securely. If you prefer to sell something, we'll cover those steps, too. We'll touch on Paypal, eBay consignment services, and more. Take the mystery out of eBay and find a whole new way to buy and sell safely on the Internet.

Tech Training is a 4-week course designed to teach you the fundamentals of Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook, while actually having fun. Unlike a "typical" training class, ours will foster good will and friendship in an uplifting environment. Upon completion, you will have a solid understanding of these programs and be ready to use them in real-life situations.
Classes meet every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:15 am - 12:15 pm for four weeks. In addition to morning classes, we also have an evening option, from 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. Short, 3-hour time blocks improve retention, limit fatigue and free you from a huge time commitment.
Each application has two levels (except Outlook); beginner and intermediate. While we strongly recommended that you attend the entire set of seven classes, you are free to sign-up for only those classes you're interested in. If you wish to skip the "beginner" level of a program, we ask that you visit the Mouse Pad to review the basic skills. Many times, students don't know what they don't know. In fairness to the other students in the intermediate classes, we need to ensure that no student will slow the pace of the class.

- PC Training for Kids
- Are you looking for a fun and educational outing? The Mouse Pad now has a series of workshops just for kids! This is especially great for home-schooling families whose computer capabilities might be limited (in quantity, speed, or skills). We like to start kids with the first PC Basics class, but the other classes have no specific sequence. Pick whichever works for you.
- We suggest keeping the group of students at a common grade range, such as 4th – 6th grade, or 5th – 7th grade. We also love teaching parents, so you can choose to be a student, too, and join in on the learning fun.
- The HTML class is a bit longer and more complex (perhaps 3 hours), so we suggest waiting until kids are in the 7th grade for this one, or scheduling this as a private tutoring time.
- A few rules:
- The classes do not have a set schedule. They are available on request.
- 1 week advance notice please.
- 4-Student minimum. Partner up with another family and let kids learn together.
- The workshop lasts approximately 1 hour, sometimes a bit longer. If you’d like to let your students stay longer and play games or surf the ‘net, please let us know.
- Parents can be students, too.
- See our price list for cost.
